Great pictures-Kaylee's a pretty girl. Good to see them having so much fun together-enjoy!

Hi everybody,

Its been almost a week now since Kaylee moved in and its been great. Unfortunately she has come into heat which we were not prepared for, she was booked in for spaying on thursday, oh well we just rebooked for March. She now has some stylish underwear to parade around the house in, and limited supervised time in the fenced backyard. We have an intact male Alaskian Malamute next door who could probably knock down the fence if he wanted to.

So as we can't go to the park or beach, we have taught Kaylee how to walk on our treadmill, she is enjoying it so far. She walks for 10 minutes then hops off, Guybrush will walk for 30 minutes and wants more.

Today we went to my parents house to go swimming in their pool. Guybrush can dock dive with the best of them and loves to swim. Kaylee seemed interested in the water but decided not to swim too much, she prefered running around and chasing Guybrush every time he got out. By the end of the visit she clambered down the steps and right into me, I now have a few bruises to show for it. We also found out she really likes the dog treats my parents keep, so much so she bit into the one I was holding and took off half my finger nail, Ouch. We need to teach her to be a bit more gentle with hands.

So far she is settling in quite well, a few behaviours to train out of her but she is going to be a wonderful girl when she grows up.

Your not crazy, I adopted a year old show dog; calm but no training commands and isn't potty trained but goldens are smart and can learn fast. 3 days he's nearly potty trained... Just gotta teach him to hold it in longer.

Guybrush is a lucky guy to have his own playmate. Hope you are enjoying her as much as he. And keep an eye out for the big bad wolf oops Malamute. Male dogs have amazing ways of getting to females in heat.

Hi everybody,

Here to give a Kaylee update.

She has really blossomed into a beautiful girl, she is still in heat and Guybrush is in lust with her so they are completely seperated for the time being. Kaylee has shown how smart she is by mastering the basic commands sit, drop, stand and come. She sure is a smart cookie, but she has to learn to stop snatching treats from hands, she is getting much better at this and has almost figured out the leave it command! I'm so proud of her. In the next few weeks she will start training at our club, where I am sure all the trainers will fall in love with her.

Everyone in the neighbourhood love her when we meet them on walks and they can't wait to see her at the park so everyone can meet her. We found out that Kaylee is water baby when we went swimming last weekend at my parents house) she was a little hesitant at first but after she saw Guybrush leaping in she followed and enjoyed herself. We will be swimming again this weekend again in the pool, when Kaylees heat is finished we will introduce her to the river then to the beach, can't wait!

I don't have any new pics because tis girl doesn't stay still she is wagging all over the place and licking faces!

Awesome!!! =). She's same age as my Ellie, who has yet to be spayed! Enjoy, she's a beauty! I'm hoping Ellie takes to water, but we'll see!

Congrats on your new girl. She is very cute.

I would LOVE to know how you did this. Where we live it rains most of the year and Milla doesn't seem to be a huge fan of it. We have a treadmill and would love it if we could get her to walk on it. We tried it a couple times with it on the lowest speed, but she quickly jumps off.
