Do you find they get tangled up in that long of a leash?

If there are several dogs I think it could be a problem. It was just Gunner and me this time. I had to be careful not to get my feet tangled but I didn't have any issues.

Looks as if they had fun. I use a 50ft lightweight training lead on Loki when we visit parks, bush reserves, beaches etc. I will often not hold it ...I just let it trail along the ground, so that I can grab hold of it if he is becoming a bit too adventurous, or if he suddenly spouts children or dogs, which draw him like a magnet. The long lead allows him to explore through the forest areas of our local park in safety, as I can always grab hold of it if needed. I do keep hold of it when we are at the beach, as I am worried he might suddenly get swept away by a large rogue wave. By not holding it at the park, I am able to hide behind trees & do recall training. Loki always comes looking for me, so I now do complete off lead in one safer area of the park, well away from the road, where we can play fetch etc. but the other day we did come unstuck a bit, when a you g couple appeared out of nowhere, walking two younger puppies, & off course Loki went flying over to say hello. He was easy to get hold off, but I had foolishly taken my papillon off leash & he rushed at them, barking & leaping about, & kept bounding out of reach as I tried to grab him. No more off leash for Jontay!
