Wishing everyone a happy, healthy New Year! And to start paying it forward... Let's be kind and patient with one another, help an elderly neighbor, give to your local food bank, volunteer your time or talents to youth, schools, places of worship, your community. Let's not forget the lonely animals at our local shelters. Put out birdseed for our feathered friends this winter, fresh water too if possible. Give a compliment to someone everyday. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Give someone the benefit of the doubt. Let someone go ahead of you in line. Hugs are wonderful. Smile whenever you can. Everyone makes mistakes...forgive. And hug your fur baby...for those of us who can't. Peace

Had a great start to the New Year this morning....went out for breakfast with my Hubby, and on our way out was greeted by a beautiful Golden therapy dog. So I got to hug a Golden, which was wonderful therapy for me! Happy New Year!

All great ideas! I'll add one more which we do often.

When in a restaurant and we see a couple or single person with a baby or small child, we quietly pay their bill on our way out. I remember those days and eating out was not easy.

I always look for people to compliment. 90% of the time the compliment is well received. There has been a few who seem to question why I am doing it by their looks.
I was in Walmart the other day and complimented a lady on her knit hat. About a minute later a woman walked through with a plain, sweatshirt type jacket on. My 7 year old son told her he liked her jacket. LOL At least he is paying attention! The woman did seem a bit surprised.

Paying it forward in the New Year is a wonderful idea, maybe it will make this world a better place. You never know how much difference a random act of kindness can do for a person and their life.
