There is a 1-3 year old golden that will be pts by January 4,2013 if someone doesn't foster or adopt. I would love to foster her. My husband says we have our hands full with the one we have now. I really think Isabella could use another dog to play with and I would to have another golden but my husband says no. I wish I knew how to convince him into it. Any advice?

Not sure how to convince your husband, but I was thinking that you should maybe put a new thread up with a title such as "Lovely young golden girl will be PTS if not rescued" ... That will grab the attention of other members & someone might be able to prevent this tragedy. Great that you want to take her on, but if you are not able to, perhaps someone here could ......someone might rescue her & put her into a Golden Rescue group, who will not PTS a young healthy golden. That would give her a chance, as 4th January is not far away.

Can you ask your husband that you would like to try it for a short period? If it doesn't work out, then she can go to a rescue. At least then you can save her. Can you get your husband to go to the shelter to see her? Maybe he would feel a connection with her?

Why not let a golden rescue know of her. I helped transport a golden for SOS Labrador Rescue in Georgia who came from LA.

I am a bit confused. Do you want to adopt her, does she have a rescue who can take her only if they find a foster home, or do you want to pull her and keep her until you can place her in a rescue ?

I would want to pull her until they can find her a rescue or another home. I sent an email to gulf south golden rescue. Not sure of any other rescues.

Do the rescue groups let you know if they rescued the golden?
