We've had thunderstorms, with bouts of heavy rain, since the middle of the night. Right now, it is 34 and the temp is expected to drop. By the afternoon, it is expected to be sleet and the roads will ice over.

My niece and nephew each work in hospitals in Oklahoma. They are stuck at work for the next 24-36 hours. No relief coming in, so they will work 16 hours and sleep 8 to keep staffing as high as possible.

We had just enough to stick to Cookie's nose on our walk this morning :

North Dallas has had about 2 inches of rain so far. The temp is now 45 BUT they say over the next few hours it will drop to the high twenties and the rain will turn to.. (wait for it) SNOW!!!

We have a couple of feet of snow in Northern Ontario. Speaking of tennis balls ..... DH blew 2 belts on the snowblower on Christmas Eve - one from running over a tennis ball hidden under the snow (there are many and one from running over a stuffy which got caught in the augers - poor bear is a big ragged but still good for playing !

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
