| Our boy was born just two days ago...and my husband and I have decided on the name Champ. No one else that's we've told likes the name though...but I'm trying not to let their opinion effect our decision. I came up with the name randomly one night, and then I googled "dog named Champ" and there were many dogs with that name so I don't think it's too unusual. We have two cats, Milo and Max. Milo was named after Milo and Otis, he is a big orange cat. Then we got Max, and wanted another M name, and we liked Max. Monte, our bridge dog, was given an M name also because of his two kitty brothers, but also at the time my husbands favorite football team had a coach with the name Monte, so that's how we picked it. My old cat was named Sylvester after Sylvester and Tweety, he was a big black cat. Savannah is also my deceased Lab, and I picked out the name when I was 9 years old...because I liked it. I also had Star and Rainbow, both deceased, and picked out those names when I was a little girl. |

| We let my husband name Zeke because he was the least enthusiastic about getting him. After he chose Zeke, we looked it up and found it was short for Ezechial and meant something like . . . one who leads us out of darkness. In many ways he lived up to his name. In honor of Zeke we looked for another name starting with Z for our 2nd Golden and chose Zoe which means something like golden one or beautiful one. I once met an owner of another Golden Zoe who told me the meaning in 4 different languages, all very appropriate for a beautiful female Golden.

Titan is was!... I got creative after I knew his call name. Wanted something strong Titanium.. and Sunfire created a color .. Mighty's started with Touch of Titan Gold.... for King Midas... but I always nickname my dogs .. Titan is Titey pants.. Midas was Mighty mouse.. When Barb put him on a plane to send him here.. her text to me was....Mighty Mouse is flying!

| We're going with Wrigley for our new little girl (who will be coming to us in early January). My boys and husband are all baseball OBSESSED and while they are all huge Mets fans, they didn't like Shea (the boys know a few girls named Shea at their schools and didn't want to insult anyone naming a dog after them just in case...), and the dog that started my whole quest is named Fenway so can't do that. It was between Cooper (for Cooperstown but they didn't think anyone would "get" that) or Wrigley. We were at Wrigley field 2 years ago and really liked it. So, there you have it. |

| Cody. Well, as a baseball fan (specially, the San Francisco Giants), he was named after our favorite player during the 2010 season - Cody Ross. Thankfully, Cody Ross is no longer with the Giants. Otherwise, our pup would have grown confused whenever we watch baseball. |

| We got Ben from a GR rescue. He was originally named Duke, but the shelter had three dogs named Duke already, so they changed it to Duke Beans - presumably because he looks like the Bush Beans dog in the commercials. We didn't want either Duke or Beans, but figured something close would give him something familiar, so he wouldn't be too confused, so we chose Ben. We wanted something short and easy to say. Previously had a dog named Sheba, because she was black and beautiful, like the Queen of Sheba. Had another named Sassy - because she was a handful when she was young, your basic sassy brat. She outgrew it. |

| Retto is short of Amaretto So she is named after the liquor. I was trying to come up with a unique name. Amaretto is one of my favor liquors and it has a nice golden reddish color so it seemed fitting.
