| Summer - I got her on the hottest day of the year, and the name just stuck (probably because of the sweat). Brandy (RIP)- My brother named her. Molly (Irish Setter/Golden Retriever) (RIP) - I was reading the local paper and saw a picture of a little girl and her name was Molly Mc*****. the name sounded good. Shelly (RIP)- What better name for an Irish Setter.

| Bertie = It's a bit of a long story involving my mom suggesting we name the puppy "Birdie" like Bye Bye Birdie. I wanted a human type name like with all our other dogs, so I remembered Bertie Wooster. Arthur came with the name. It suited him and we never saw any reason to change an adopted dog's name anyway. ![]() Jacks - was named after his dad whose name was also Jack. |

| Zuca is short for Zucarita. Zucaritas is the Mexican version of Frosted Flakes and my oldest son thought her coloring was the same color as the cereal. We all loved it and since we spend half the year in MX we thought it would endear her to the Mexicans. We were right although I think she does that no matter what her name is. Our cat is Tigerlilly. She is a beautiful orange tiger striped tabby but with a gorgeous pattern. We thought it was a pretty name, like in Peter Pan.

| My wife really wanted to name a new puppy "Cookie". Then, when we went to see the puppies, we met Sally's Mom's Cookie, who was the great grandmother of the litter (I hope I have that right ). After that, my daughter also decided that our pup should be named Cookie....and if the women of the house are happy, so am I. |
