It's hard to believe this stunning Golden boy has been in a shelter for 3 weeks without any interest. Lance is approx 3-4 years old and described by shelter staff as super sweet. He needs some work on leash training and is a really happy fellow. No worries with kitties and is in good health. Lance has not been vetted yet but that will be done before he leaves shelter. They do out of state adoptions to the right person. Lance is located at the Missaukee Humane Society, Lake City, MI.

This dog was brought to the shelter on 11/20/12. Collar, but no tags. If not claimed by the end of business on 11-30-12 he will become available for adoption.

Seems like a very nice dog. Appears to have a small tumor located inside his mouth on the gum. Will be checked by our veterinarian.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

What a cutie - my first dog as a kid was named Lance. I wonder if the mention of the tumor is scaring people off. They should update it if he checked out okay.
