You should call the shelter and verify he is being adopted.

I emld. GRROM and Lynette sent me this email about Lance!
So very happy for him and so KIND of Golden Ret. Rescue of
Michigan to let us know!!

Lance had many people put in applications, the delay was in the shelter trying to pick the right parent for Lance. I received a very nice email back from them thanking us for our concern and offer to take him but they were taking care of Lance's adoption.
