Hi. I'm bringing home an 11 week old golden retriever puppy on Tuesday (Dec. 11th). I'm scheduled to begin puppy kindergarten in January but would like to socialize the puppy as soon as possible.

If anyone lives in the Washington, DC area and would like to set up a play date, please respond. I live in Gaithersburg, MD (Montgomery County) but would travel a bit to get the pup socialized.

Also ... I highly recommend "Your Dog's Friend" that is off of Parklawn for training. They even have puppy play dates!

Coffeenut and Jaime - I'd love to set up puppy playdates. I'm not quite at 15 posts so I can't PM or email you, but should be at 15 this week.

I second the recommendation for Your Dogs Friend. I went through Puppy K and Puppy First Grade there, and I just cannot say enough things about them.

I'm over in the College Park area.

We are also in the Washington area (Arlington) and have an 18-month-old golden girl named Willow. She is always up for play dates with new friends.

I live in Silver Spring and have a 3 month old male named Bear born 9/11/12. I'm always interested in any activity that will tire him out. I noticed that another poster suggested Your Dog's Friend puppy kindergarten. Bear and I are registered for the Sunday 5:15 class, but only a couple of more weeks until "graduation".

How do you like it? I just signed up for the Wed morning class - I work from home but don't tell my boss.

The instructors are nice and patient. Just wish there was a golden in my class.

Have a great time in Puppy Kindergarten! Be patient, have fun, and take lots of pictures because it goes by so fast.

My pup is almost 6 months old and has graduated from both Puppy Kindergarten and Puppy First Grade at YDF so unfortunately I won't be able to join either of you. We're trying for our CGC at the end of January.
