His tail is wagging again! Uplifting update.

I lost my heart dog two months ago, though I did not post a thread about it here. There are soooo many heartbreaking threads on this forum about sick, dying and dead dogs, I thought I would post this link to a positive, uplifting story about the arthritic 19-year old German Shepherd who sleeps while floating in the water in the arms of his owner. I think we're probably all familiar with the this dog? For those who might not know, there's a link to just coverage of the original story here.

And here is the link to the update I wanted to post: Schoep is not only doing well, he's doing good.

This made me feel good. I liked this story because the dog is doing well, because of the generosity of people, and because the publicity over this dog's suffering will help other dogs. So I just wanted to post it to give others who might be struggling something positive to read.

Thanks for posting--i love stories about people who pay it forward, and it's great to hear Scheop the GSD is responding to treatment.

I saw that story on TV a little while ago. The owner is so devoted & it is wonderful to hear that Scheop is doing better. A very heart- warming story of great love. I cried when I saw it the first time. I'm going to click onto your links now. I guess I will cry again!

Thanks for posting an update to the story. That's great to hear that Shoep is doing better.

It's always heartbreaking when treatments exist that could help, but are out of financial reach. Worse than if no treatment existed at all. But it's great to hear about the charity they started using the excess donations they received. That was a really sweet way to pay it forward.

What a lovely update. Thank you for posting.

And I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your heart dog. What kind of dog was he or she? My heart goes out to you.
