Hi everyone, we recently bought a new GoldenDoodle and wanted to see if there were any GoldenDoodle owners on this forum (not sure how you guys feel about them, so may be a sensitive subject, if so just let me know.)

I'd like to find a good place to ask questions and didn't know if because they were part Golden if this was a good place, or if there was another site you could suggest.

I think there are a lot of people on here that don't like them but that is silly to me because they are just like any other cross that happens. Goldens themselves are crosses. That is how dog breed start. I think Goldendoodles are so cute and bound to be smart because both of those breeds are intelligent. I think you could find a lot of information here useful as it applies to many dogs in general. And there is a thread on here for Golden Retriever Crosses. Welcome and good luck with your pup! Hi and welcome.

I dont like that designer breeds cost so much as to me they are cross breeds or mutts. I happen to love mutts I have done rescue work for over 30yrs.

I would love to see pictures of your pup. What is the little ones name? Did you get for a family pet or are you planning on training in a sport?

We are breed enthusiasts, and we are dog lovers at heart. The only issue most on the board have with doodles is that the breeders market them as designer dogs and charge high prices for them. Most of us have absolutely nothing against the he dogs!

Hey everyone, here is Jake and our son Noah.
Noah's almost 2 years old and was born with Down syndrome. Noah gets to hang out with a fun therapy dog at physical therapy and so we wanted to get him a buddy to play with. They are already best buddies (As you can see.)

We're in the Dallas and would really like to find him some good puppy classes, dog trainer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I hope someone can direct you in the right direction for a training in your area. Do you plan to train Jake to do therapy work?

Not so much. I just want to get him in general training. Noah's doing really well so he doesn't really need a real "therapy dog." More so just a nice buddy. However I would like to passably train him to be a dog that can go visit children in the hospital though, which is different than a therapy dog. But we'll see.
