If anyone is interested i could help pull and transport some if your far away. It looks all golden in the pic. Apparently, the mother was a black lab and father (a neighbors dog) was a golden. This guy got him from a farm and his current dog is not handling it well. Hes about 3 mos old.

I already contacted the owner and he emailed me back.

Free puppy

puppy 3 months old lab/ golden retriever mix. Huge paws I think he he is going to be vert large . We got him because we thought our other lab needed a buddy but he doesn't like him.

What a doll!

I often wonder too how much time people give their dog to adjust to a new puppy or another dog. Sometimes it's not love at first site and takes a little time for them to warm up to each other.

I'd take this little guy in a heartbeat........

Yeah when i replied i told him that too. Sometimes it takes awhile, especially with a young mouthy pup! He emailed me back and said he wont hold him for Me. It would be a stretch for me to go get him today, have a sick kid, earliest would be wednesday due to work. I hope he doesnt give him to just anyone.. :-(

Poor baby. If Cooper wasn't in a cone and I didn't have to go back to work tomorrow, I would totally drive out there and get the poor pup.

We have a local yard sale website where people can rehome animals on it for a fee up to $100. There are always a lot of Goldens on this site which is really really sad and frustrating. I always contact them with GR Rescue info, but the sellers want the money for them.

I try to tell them to at least get a Vet Reference, do a home check, and most importantly, get the contact name and info of the person you let take this dog. A majority of the time, the sellers don't even get the name of the person. They are more concerned about getting the fee and getting rid of the dog than it's well being and knowing it's going to a great home where it will be taken care of.

Yup told him that too! I hate seeing dogs get tossed around home to home as well as bad things happening to the dogs.

Not only that, but a lot of them develop behaviorial problems due to lack of stability, consistency, etc. I use to help a GR Rescue in my area, we use to get a lot of GRs from this particular site.

I wonder if they would be willing to help or if the guy would give the pup to them? Am I totally off and it is not Lancaster,PA?
