We may have saved someone's life today

At least that's what the policewoman told me this morning. We live next to a 95 acre city park, so we're there quite a bit. Two days ago ,early in the morning, I noticed a black half- ton truck parked in one of the parking areas. Every time we go down to the park, same truck still in the same place. Last night Dh and I were walking Jess, truck still there , so I called the police and asked them to check it out.
0730 this morning Jess and I are heading out for our walk, an ambulance goes flying down our hill with lights flashing.
We arrive right behind it, they are putting a man into the ambulance. I introduce myself to the police woman. She said the man was not in the cab of the truck, but in the cargo area. He had one of those fold- up covers, so no one knew he was there. I don' know the whole story, she just said he was " going through a hard time"

He seemed Ok, walked with help into the ambulance, but looked pretty weak at the same time.
Hope the poor guy gets some help for whatever is going on in his life.

Way to go!!! Good for you. I hope they found him in time...

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

Kudos for caring enough to call the police about!

The true Maritime spirit. I don't think you find the same kind of concern in Ontario. Thank you for helping this gentleman.

Bless you. Had it not been for your observation and caring, who knows what may have happened. Well done.
