What is your favorite thing your dog does?

We all love our dogs, no doubt. They melt our hearts on a daily basis.

I am curious though, what is the one thing that you love most about your dog?

For me: it's the way Rosie cuddles. She can never be close enough. After our morning walk, like clockwork, she runs back to bed and wraps her body around my head and rests her face in the crick of my neck. I absolutely love it.

She always wants to cuddle and be affectionate, but our morning cuddles are what I enjoy the most.

How about you?

I have two. Morning cuddles is a favorite for me too. She just has to get onto the bed, lick my face, and then cuddle into my face/head.

Molly knows when I am upset. Even if I just exhale too loudly from frustration or say "ow" when I stub my toe she feels it is her duty to make me feel better. I see it all the time.. When I am upset her tail will start wagging and she will do a fast sit in front of me. This means "mommy please get down to my face level" and I do, I kneel down and she puts her paws on my shoulders and licks my face really good. Every time. Sometimes when I start to get annoyed by the bf, she will come and stand between us, facing me. When my BF is upset she couldn't care less lol

One of the things I love that my two do is whenever I come home, they're always waiting at the door for me. We have a glass piece on the side of our front door, so when I walk up to our porch, I can see two tails wagging really hard waiting for me to walk through the door. It always makes me smile. I love that! :smooch:

Sleep. Kidding! (Well, not sometimes.)

Casper comes and says thank you after every meal. OK, I have no idea what's on his mind, but after every meal he runs and finds me. Then he breaths in my face and licks his lips and just generally looks very, very happy and wants to share his happiness.

It's pretty nice when he lays quietly with his head in my lap while we watch TV. He doesn't do this very often.

My favorite thing that Duke does is when he hears the word "ride" he goes absolutely nuts with excitement. He even barks with happiness as we back out of the driveway.

My favorite Connor thing is when he "helps" with the dishes by trying to lick stuff as dishes are being put into the washer. I honestly think he's convinced it's his job.

My favorite thing that they do together is when they chase each other up and down the stairs, and Duke barks the entire time.

Have to say I pretty much agree with Spruce. I think Zoe is pretty much breathtaking when she's running full out. . . such grace. And when she's on with her recall and makes heads up eye contact after sitting straight in front, it's really a special moment.

My favorite thing...

I know it may not be the safest thing but, when we are driving Diesel will stand on the center console, hind feet on the back seat and front feet on the console, so he can get a good view of where we are headed. Eventually, after a few seconds, he will lean his body on my shoulder and just hang out there like that for a minute or two. Then, he will head back to the back seat and sit down like a good boy returning to his perch every now and then to check and make sure that all is right in the world. I find myself missing him when I am in the car without him (I miss him always when I am not able to be with him) and wishing that he was there to lean his love on me. He is only 5 months old (on Sunday to be exact) so I know that this will eventually need to change. His 54lb body is almost too much now, when he is full grown my should will not be able to handle it but I look forward to many more favorites and special moments we share together! I love my dog.... he is the best!:D

My dog is always cracking me up. That's what I love about him. He seriously has so much personality and always makes me laugh and makes my day better especially after a bad day at work. The funniest thing he does right now is EVERY time I give the finish command he barks and jumps up and lands in the correct position. I didn't even teach it to him that way! Haha Idk if that could possibly take off points when we start to compete in obedience but I don't want to change it! Cracks me up every time!

He knows me

So at least once a week Riley and I take a long walk of about 6-8 miles through the city. It is never the same day as the week before just a random time when I know that I have a good 2-3 hours for a walk. Well I must do something different for these walks because Riley knows they are coming.

As I am putting my shoes on, Riley also prepares. He goes through a routine of stretching and drinking extra water. By the time I get my shoes on he is standing by the door with a huge smile on his face.

It makes me so happy that he is excited for a long walk and that he pays such close attention to what I am doing.

The thing I LOVE that Poppy does is our cuddles, it simply cant get better than that in my mind. Its the deep sigh of content she does once she is settled down next to me that always makes my day!

With Jasper its always nice when he is sleeping ;) and when he comes up sit on the sofa and plonks his big head on my lap so i have him one side and poppy the other! HEAVEN!!
The other thing I love about Jasper is his love for his big sister Poppy, its beyond sweet!

I like it when Sandy looks for the right toy. She has many toys in her box and I work at home in the kitchen a lot. When she wants to get my attention she pulls out one at a time until I finally play with her. It's interesting to watch her, she actually chooses they toy moving them around until she finds the one she is looking for.
