What is your favorite thing your dog does?

We all love our dogs, no doubt. They melt our hearts on a daily basis.

I am curious though, what is the one thing that you love most about your dog?

For me: it's the way Rosie cuddles. She can never be close enough. After our morning walk, like clockwork, she runs back to bed and wraps her body around my head and rests her face in the crick of my neck. I absolutely love it.

She always wants to cuddle and be affectionate, but our morning cuddles are what I enjoy the most.

How about you?

I love how clever Buddy is when it comes to playtime. We've made up so many different silly little tricks together just because he is so creative - yesterday, I was in a "crab" position for playtime (hands and feet on the floor, body up) and he came over and weaved himself underneath my body! I added a command ("go under") and he'll loop around and go under my body and weave around me, it's adorable. Or when we're playing, if I go and curl myself in a ball face-down on the ground he'll try to "un-ball" me and then shower me with kisses when he does ;) Won't do it for my husband, though!

I also love when we tell him "leave it" or "stay" and he puts his head down just a little - he's my 70-pound monster but he is still a puppy so he's still got that cute puppy face when his ears fall forward! He has the most awesome expressions when staying for me too.

Aww Yukon does that! And he'll look at me through the corner of his eye until I release him. He's so cute when he is completely still as I'm saying, "You dead, boy? What happened? Where's Yukon?" HAHA

I taught Yukon with a clicker and positive reinforcement.

Yukon has started doing this great thing (I like it anyways and I've had dogs in the past that do it) If we are on a walk or anywhere that we could come in contact with a stranger and we stop to talk etc, in a completely passive way, he positions himself between me and the unfamiliar person :) It makes me smile and feel comfortable too. People comment on him doing that and I just say "He's just letting you know who I belong to" :)

Just about everything he does is my favorite thing and what I find to be amazing is with time some of my least favorite things he does looking back always seem to bring a smile.;)

Thinking back I loved everything Mick did. But 2 of my all time favorites were when I was doing little projects on my house I would put my tool belt on him and he would prance around so proud that he was my helper. Didn't bother me at all that he gnawed on the handle of my Plum hammer. The 2nd was he would start howling when I played my soprano sax. We were never harmonized in the same key but he thought it was beautiful music.Good times!
