Hi Everyone!
This is not Golden related, but I need help. My sister adopted a puppy (Rascal) from a shelter a couple of months ago and he is not working out. He is a high energy terrier mix and they have a toddler and jobs and the dog is just too much. She doesn't want to send him back to the shelter because she doesn't want to run the risk of him not finding a home and being put to sleep. He is 7 months old and was neutered this week. He is up to date on all his shots. He has been an outside dog, so he is not house trained. He will probably be about 30 pounds or so when he is full grown. I know there are several people on this forum that volunteer with rescues in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. If you or anyone you know can help me find a home for this guy I would greatly appreciate it. I have included a picture of Rascal. Thanks for your help!

FYI, they may have conditions in their adoption agreement that requires him to go back to the shelter.

I am NOT trying to start anything or offend anyone at all, and I only have the best intentions when I say this, but it makes me sad when I see things like this.. Im assuming that your sister had the toddler and the job before she got the dog, so she should have realized that she didnt have the time to add a dog into the mix.. and now the dog has to possibly suffer because of it. She also should have realized that most all Terriers are pretty high energy dogs. Again, I am not trying to start anything and I hope you realize that. I hope your sister can find someone to take the litte guy. He is cute!

Oh he is so cute. Looks like he has Boarder Terrier in him. At least he is out of the shelter and neutered. It shouldn't be hard to find him a good home.
