Teenaged DD finally got up. Informed that Bella escaped from crate last night and slept with her. I think this is going to be a struggle, but I do want her sleeping in the crate.

Bella, you're so talented! You sound like an absolutely precious cuddlebug who has been starved for affection until now. It's heartwarming to know a sweet girl like you has a wonderful forever home now with people who love you and recognize how beautiful your spirit is. Don't worry, you'll get your one on one time with mommy.

Oh Bella!! That makes me smile.
What about a used shirt from you or DD in the crate? Would that help or would she... eat the shirt? : o )

Bella's latest Houdini trick

She's figured out how to open the garbarge can!

I think she taught Tucker how to do it, too. I have seen her go up to it and nose it. The lid stays down by gravity. She slips her nose under the edge of the lid, and lifts. I bought the pail when we got Tucker. It was great! So my solution is below. I just needed a few pounds to rest on it. Like what I chose?

Also, when her previous owner visited a week or so back, he mentioned that his nickname for her was also "Houdini dog."

Life is not boring with Bella!

I think so, too. I think I'm going to have to find a creative outlet for all those smarts...!

LOL! Night lights are lifesavers. I didn't buy one until I did trip over my Cody boy in the middle of the night and broke my foot
