We had a great day at the trial today! Beamer earned his first leg towards his BN! He did fairly well- especially for him being used to me talking to him in Rally where you can't in Obedience. He messed up on the heeling a little and a lot on the figure 8 (sniffing the people and didn't sit at either halt...) but we had never even practiced the figure 8 with people. Anyway, we did Q and got a 186! That earned us 4th place!!

Here is my happy boy and I at home after the trial. More pictures to come later once I get them from my step-mom's camera. Very proud of my boy!!

Also, I don't think we are going to go for the BN title- we will wait to get a CD. I don't want to start doing Rally in the 'B' class just yet. So next for us is going for our RA and CD! No shows for a while- the next one I have planned is for April, but I would like to do more sooner if I can find some (seems to be the slow season for showing).

Sounds like you all did good! I'm thinking of getting the CD after we get our RN. The off leash part terrifies me! Lol I have 2 possible shows in January, but its depending on her and when she is in heat. Don't want to sign up and then not be able to go! There is definitely not as many shows in December.

I agree he off-leash terrifies me, too! Beamer is doing really well off-leash when we go for drop-in practice for RA and RE. Not sure how he would do in the ring off leash, though. We are going to try for our RA and CD next... we shall see how it goes. Yesterday someone was in Novice and recalled their dog and they ran out of the ring... hope that isn't us next time!
