| Update: We pick up our puppy tomorrow! Thank you my friends! Hi friends! I don't know how to copy and post my thread I posted in the Rainbow Bridge section. How angry I was at my hubby. We lost Max in July and tomorrow, my friends, we pick up our golden boy!!! We picked him almost 3 weeks ago. He's the biggest of the bunch! He's mellow, calm, just like his dad. We....I mean my daughter picked him. It's so great to see her so happy, counting down the days, it's 9:30 pm and she went to bed so tomorrow comes sooner. After mucho $$ at PetCo, we spent all day today puppy proofing, moving my daughter BACK into her redone room. (USC lost? Wasn't paying attention We put the gates up and I kinda teared up. Our house looked like it did when Max was a pup. I remember taking the gates down when he grew older. Now, it's just like, back to an old routine. Anyway, we are very excited to fill our home again with love. This puppy is going to be so spoiled....it also helps that daughter is home for a whole week and my two older sons come home from college on Monday. While it may be his last night playing with his brothers and sisters, tomorrow he comes home to play with his NEW brothers and sisters. I'm nervous. Like I forgot how to burp or how to make a bottle and change a diaper. YIKES!!!! One positive thing....we never got new carpet for a reason!! I can't thank you all enough for your support and help in that needy time. And, I guess, I'll see you all in the puppy forum ))))) I promise to post pictures!!! |

| Thank you all so much. Whew...what a first day We haven't spent so much time together as a family in a long time. Hanging out in my daughter (13) room playing with the pup....I'm shocked LOL We named him Rocky. He is the biggest of the bunch.....get ready for this...19 lbs! Our breeder said he was the most mellow, calm, relaxed of the bunch. Like his daddy. We met the daddy (almost a month ago) and just knew it was the best pick for us. Our breeder also said he was doing the best at potty training. Okay. That's a plus. But boy was the truth. I give credit to my hubby who had out every hour and he quickly took the grass and peed and pooped outside. We have the pads all over and in the pen. He wanted to play right now, last minute second wind...lol...and I had pads next to my closet. He peed on the pads. Then went back and pooped on the pads. Oh, when he first peed outside, we all watched holding our breath and then we all cheered & clapped. Scared the h*** out of him. So now we just say "good boy" and lots of attention...lol. He is so observant. This may sound silly, but he searches our faces. Like "who are you?" If we carry him, he will pull his head back, sniff our face and then look at the hair and face. My daughter has mirrored closet doors. When he went to her room he saw his reflection and I think he thought he saw his siblings. He got so excited and started jumping at the mirror and pawing it. His first two naps were by that mirror. Awww. The only time he whimpered was when he couldn't find us in the kitchen. When he plays, he will nip at my feet but will gently lick my face. He's sleeping on a little pup bed by me now, I'm ready to put him in his pen in my daughter's room. Oh, he peed on the pad in the pen too. What a perfect day to pick Rocky up. My daughter is off the next week, I'm home, my two sons come home from college tomorrow. What a great Thanksgiving we will have! He's so beautiful and precious! My son comes home tomorrow and I'll have him show me how to post pics! This is what my mom said to me tonight..."That's great honey. But just like Las Vegas, you can be a winner one night and the next night give it right back to the house." Yep, thanks mom...I'm aware of that |
