| When I came home from Afghanistan (7 mos separation), I came in my parents' house to surprise my golden girl. She took one look at me and it was as if she saw a ghost--she ran to the office and burrowed into the corner shaking. It wasn't until I brought her back to our home (we lived a street over from the parentals) that she finally relaxed and allowed herself to celebrate the homecoming. |
