So, I knew that Bella is really smart, and that she likes to go through gates, but tonight DD and I went to a movie and were out of the house for about 4 hours. When we got home, Bella had unfastened the gate latch, and she and Tucker had been roaming around the house for quite a while. The latch is a rubber coated wire thingy, made by Bungee. She must have worked at it with her nose.
The good news is they didn't really do much damage. The doors to the bedrooms were open since we thought they were contained (ha!), and they got to DD's dirty laundry (a favorite) and surfed through the trash can in my room.
What really is fascinating to me is how much dogs learn from each other. Bella has been following Tucker's lead in terms of settling in to the house, but he has definitely learned a few things from her, like jumping in our face  and following her through gates :doh:.
But I have to say, I'm still having the best time. I think Bella was meant to live in our home.
