| Snow? We were considering taking a day trip up to play in the snow tomorrow with our kids and Otis, is there anything I should know? Is this ok? He has never been in snow before so no idea if he likes it or not LOL, but he does like water and doesn't seem to mind the cold TOO much. Do we have to buy him those boots for his paws or will he be OK without? Thanks!!

| nope. just be prepared for alot of zoomies and a very happy happy golden. they love the snow! dont be surpirsed if you see him trying to eat it. and don't forget to take pictures! =D |

| Yup - I was going to say the same thing about zoomies. Nothing sets off a Golden like a first snow! There will probably be much rolling and eating and running in it. You'll laugh your head off.

| If your pup has long hairs between his pads on his feet, trim them if you can as the snow will ball up on them. Ben has a bad habit of sitting in the middle of the street to chew them off. Easier to get rid of the long hair ahead of time. Goldens seem to love cold and snow. Ben likes to lie down in the middle of a snowbank and make snow angels. He'll also just lie there and watch the world go by. Brrrr. |
