Wyatt will sleep as long as I do. He won't even go downstairs until I do. Doesn't matter if hubby is up and out early. I have a mommy's boy

Tyler sleeps in the kitchen, soon as he hears the alarm clock he starts squeaking him squeaky toy, failing that his barks! can't wait for breakfast and walks, annoying at weekend though, no chance of a lay in! or a snooze on week days!

My guys don't get up until both my DH and I are up. If one of us is still sleeping, they stay in the room and sleep until we're up.

I'm very fortunate...none of my dogs is an early riser! I suspect they would be if their humans were, though.

On weekdays, we're all up about 6:30-7 a.m. On the weekends, though, I sleep later and they've never woken me up. The two GRs are in crates and keep on snoozing... Tess is in DD's bed, and she sleeps all the time anyway... so we're good...

I too have a golden retriever alarm clock. It makes whiney noises at unreasonable hrs (6:00am) standing beside my bed with a shoe in it's mouth. The snooze feature (go back to bed ) can be used for a while but eventually I have to succumb to it's demands.
This is all my fault though, because once I'm up I usually figure I might as well stay up.

I always wake up before Vinnie. I open his crate and he just lays there for awhile before he comes out with a toy in his mouth.

Count me in the Golden Alarm Clock group. Cassie used to wake me every morning at 7am like clockwork. Now it's 6am. Ugh!

Anyone know how to set a Golden for Daylight Saving Time??

Unless mine have an urgent situation, they wake up,when I wake up. My husband could get up before me and the dogs do not go down with him. I let them out in the AM and I am the sole person who feeds them.... On the weekend,, if I sleep until 7 AM, so do they....

My very first Golden loved to go for walks and would stand by my side of the bed starting at 2 a.m., waiting for me to wake up. The first few times I got up thinking he needed to go to the backyard to go to the bathroom....no--he ran to the front door, and sat by where we kept his leash! If I got up in the middle of the night,he'd always get up and accompany me, even if it was to the bathroom.

Toby would wake us up as a puppy, but now he'll sleep until about 6 a.m., then it's gentle nudges that turn into zoomies on the bedroom floor, then chasing and catching his tail, then full fledged barking.
