| Frontline Plus doesn't smell as bad as the Advantix. We tried it for a while, and Ben hated it. He doesn't seem to mind the Frontline as much. It works well against ticks, not as well against fleas. |

| Riley hates to have anything applied to him. He takes off when he hears me opening the Advantix package. I have tried other spot ons too and he reacts the same way to them all. He gets very restless for about a day after it's applied. Once it drys he is fine. I have never seen any irritation where I apply it. The vet tech told me that it feels like when you put alcohol on your skin. That cool tingly type of feel. I hate applying it but we do have a flea and tick problem in my area. I think next year I will switch to Comfortis for the summer at least as the ticks aren't as bad then. Would be nice if a company would come out with a flea/tick pill. Wonder why no one has yet?

| I use Vim for the tub/shower and sink and lysol for the toilet. Also, I'm a bit compulsive, I clean the tub as the bathwater is draining out. I'm sure it's just Jess though. It is actually quite funny to see the little nose poke in the door and then disappear.

| Not sure what it is about the "spot on" flea/tick applications, but Hunter was petrified of the monthly Frontline. Switched to Trifexis and Preventic collars for the boys. We love in the woods in SC and cannot believe how good those collars work. They last for 3 months and you will actually notice a tick or two on their coats after 3 months to remind you it's time to put a new collar on. Fleas are never an issue (thank goodness). |

| Yes, that's the only form they come in. What are you confused about? The comment hoping someone would come up with a flea/tick pill? Because that would be totally awesome. Trifexis and Comfortis are great against fleas, but not labeled for ticks.

| Here's my confusion: If Trifexis and Comfortis are just for fleas - not ticks - then wouldn't I still have to use some kind of topical tick medicine monthly? Using a topical medicine is what I was trying to avoid. |
