| Glad to here he is doing better. As for prescriptions, try Target or call them and see what they would charge for a dog that has no insurance. You might be pleasantly surprised, I was when I needed to get some prescriptions for Brady. Can't remember what ones they were, but the non-insurance prices were a fraction of what I paid the week before at the vets.

I'm glad Chance is better and hopefully the recheck will see liver enzymes in normal range. As for the Tramadol, I got it years ago for Barkley on the Walmart $4 plan, then when I looked into it again it wasn't on the generic plan anymore and I was disappointed. I think I got 60 for about $23, but it was at least 2 years ago.

Glad to hear Chance is doing better. I've heard from several dog park sources that Costco has great prices on dog meds. Do you mind if I ask what you pay to have the dogs nails trimmed? I need to be more diligent about getting it done.

The first time I took them in it was $18 ea. Every time after that, it's only $9. The reason I like to have it done at their vet is that there's a certain tech that Chance really likes/trusts so she's the only I'll allow to do their nails. She's so sweet and really careful. All the techs are good, but this certain one has "the touch" with Chance.

Good to hear that your vet thinks there is nothing to be overly concerned about. It's times like these when I wish they could talk. My Chance had a mysterious weak front leg (not a limp but his leg collapsed on 2 separate occasions that I witnessed) back in the summer of 2010. My vet checked it - found nothing unusual. Had Chance's cardiologist check him thinking it might be his heart. He found nothing. Just to be sure, had him checked by the orthopedic vet. He said Chance had great flexibilty and could find no reason for these mysterious collapses. Chance is Lyme positive so the vet checked his levels for that too. To this day it remains a mystery but it never happened again. I worried a lot but concluded maybe he hurt his leg at some point that I wasn't aware of. Also, he has had in blood tests (wellness checks) various numbers outside the normal ranges but not startling. Like you, we will do a retest, and they are back in normal range. So don't worry. In 2 weeks, the numbers are likely to be back in range.

I just got Chance's re-checked blood work results in...his liver values are NORMAL!!!!!! ![]() ![]() I am soooooo relieved. Found out that he's hypothyroid though, so he starts meds for that tomorrow and we'll re-check his thyroid in a few weeks. Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know that my baby's liver is perfect. Whew...
