Well, we saw his regular vet yesterday concerning his blood work and his limp. He said the level that his ALP was at didn't alarm him at all. I told him I still wanted a re check and he said okay, but suggested we wait 2 more weeks to get a better idea. I was fine with that. Chance and Lucy go every two weeks anyway for their "pawdicures" so it'll be done then.
As far as his limp, Chance got better again on Friday night. I had called into the vet for some Tramadol and since they were closed when his vet finally gave the okay for the med. they had to call it it to the CVS by my house. Get this...it was $44.00 for 80 tabs. of Tramadol!!!
I almost didn't get it, but Chance was hurting at the time, (or so I thought, he was better when I got home with the prescription so I never even had to give it to him
). The last time I got it I paid $12.00, (filled at the vet).
His vet said I should watch him for it getting worse again, but for now he recommended to wait and see. He couldn't feel anything wrong and Chance gave absolutely no indication of pain whatsoever. He was a little tender when he was having his back nails dremeled, but that was it. He limped a little when we got home, but I think that was from his vet moving his leg around. He got better about 1/2 hour after we got home and has been fine since.
So, that's where we're at right now. My worry meter is down, at least for now.
