| Introducing ... Bella! Well, you knew we would ... bring her home, that is. And we did. She's very shy, and has yet to come all the way into the house ... she tiptoes through the kitchen, into the dining room and peeks into the living room, then backs out before (she thinks!) anyone sees her. We met with her first owner this afternoon, and she and Tucker hit it off right away. Tess did her usual, "eh." Bella seems to like Tess, though. Has kissed and licker her a few times. I'll post some pictures and then come back and tell you her story... This is the best shot to show you what she looks like--I'm guessing she about 50 pounds, maybe 55, and redder than Tucker. Very pretty girl.

| So, Bella was a Craigs List purchase a year ago--in other words, from a BYB. She's very shy and watchful, but has already relaxed quite a bit. The young man really didn't want to give her up, and said he didn't want to sell her because he wanted her to go to a good home. He just couldn't take any money for her. She didn't want to get into the car with us--tried to get out to go to Eduardo, and he was crying. We both felt really bad. For the past month or so (not sure), she's been living in the back yard of his brother's mother in law, and he was told recently that she had to go. I think she's probably always lived outside, with a dog house. She's in pretty decent shape, but a bit thin. I'm not entirely sure, because she hasn't let me pet her yet. She has taken a couple treats from me, and she let my daughter rub her belly. She's had her shots, but has not been spayed. She's received no training which kind of amazed me because she's very well mannered. So, my new projects are buying insurance, enrolling her in training, and getting her to the vet soon. That's after she relaxes enough to come into the house. LOL. Right now Tucker is running back and forth--I don't think he understands why she won't come in. I've got the crate set up for her, with her own bed in it, in the living room. I'm going to put Tucker's crate right next to it and have them sleep side by side tonight. She seems to have accepted him just fine. Since she's been sleeping in a dog house, I'm hoping the crate won't be too strange for her. Well, that's her story! I'll come back and post more--stories and pictures. I think my family will think I've lost my mind when they find out we have a new dog, but this just feels right.

| Awww...Bella is a pretty girl...and I have no doubt she will come around in time. When I rescued Brittany from a shelter years ago--she laid in the floorboard of the car and it took us a few days to get her in the house. But once she came in, she didn't want to leave. I'm so glad she has you guys. Poor Eduardo--sounds like it was hard on him, but I hope he knows she is in great hands. Please keep us posted and thank you for opening your heart and home to her. When it's right, it's right.  |

| Awwww she is beautiful...you are a wonderful person to go get her so she could have a loving home. WELCOME HOME BELLA!!! I do feel bad for her former owner...he must truly love her to do this for her.....
