Hello all,

Just wondering how everybody transports their dog in the car? Which seat? With harness set belt or not?

Wondering how people though about it. thanks

I started off front seat when he was a bit smaller. Now he rides in the back with a harness and seatbelt leash.

My two Senior Goldens sit in the back seat of a Sedan on a doggie car seat cover most of the time.
Some times, they go in a wagon with a baracade down which is installed into the back of the celing.

My dogs go to work with me everyday and also go home for lunch every day. So they are in the car a lot. In the SUV, they ride in the far back. I have a liner for my Honda that is made of some really tough stuff, it keeps the back clean. In the truck, one rides in the front seat, and the other 2 ride in the jump seat of the king cab. None of them use harnesses or leashes in vehicles. We do not allow our dogs to ride in the truck bed. None of them get sick in the car.

I use a Solvit safety harness and a hammock (just so she doesn't ruin the leather in the car).

Joey used to be free, then got him the cargo car seat (whichever one everyone here will recommend.. I got it from GRF) now I have an SUV and Joey is crated any and every time in the car!

My dogs are crated in my van. If I am only traveling with one dog, they ride in the crate in the center of the van. I figure that's the safest place if we're in an accident.

Tayla's crate is anchored in my SUV with 1/2 the back seat down and the crate as far forward as it can go so it's as safe as I can make it. She is 9 months old and can't be trusted out of it. Jesse, my 15 year old uses a seat belt harness.
