Went to class tonight and must say Nugget did really well. He nailed the recalls all 3with straight fronts and we only did two finishes but one was good the other not so much heeling was very good and we did about half of it off lead with only 2 bumps . Figure 8 was very good and it to was off lead, sits and downs 3-5 minutes he never budged and I tempted him with a treat on the downs lying a foot in front of his nose. Needless to say I'm VERY happy the way it went tonight.

After 3 weeks of crazy FedEx work hours, we are back at it starting tonight. Heeling was actually good and I liked Jonah's forging because he was really trying! Figure 8s were very rusty but we smoothed the last few out and stopped there. His one db retrieve was excellent with a straight front and great finish. Training was fast and fun! We trained to good music with a beat which kept us both moving. I'm a fan of classical music but I do have my music library of "other" music.

Adorable Kate !! and starting metal articles in the mouth young is a really good thing.

I had to cancel rental for tonight since we have a snow storm coming in and the center is 20/25 miles away - not fun driving especially given which weekend it is LOL

Perhaps I will tape the dogs or watch training tapes.

Started to try teaching Nugget go outs last nite in the house, I know Nugget liked the cheese on the door but its going to take awhile . I hate this weather so I'm limited to when I can train and I'm trying not to bore him with constant novice exercises. His taking the dumbell isn't going well but I'll give the nice guy way a couple more weeks before the ear pinch comes into play.

Speaking of scent articles, while waiting for the storm to arrive I decided to train ... sigh ... Faelan is good, me not so much. I have to remember to have my left hand properly positioned for Direct send, or sit & send. And video more often so I can catch these things. This is the first time I used the front/finish box outside or when he is retrieving anything so we had some fun there too

Sunrise, are you entered at the trials in Franklin, Mass next weekend? I will be there with 10.5 year old Mantha... She has two CD legs....
