| Max and Kate (now both retired) were run in the Q. I'm considering pulling Kate (the younger of the two) out of retirement to enter her in our clubs' O/H Q in the spring. (At 11 it's an iffy proposition getting her back into competitive condition.) I'm not in good enough physical shape to teach and train Angel to a competitive level. (It takes a lot of shoe leather to get a dog to a competitive level.)

| We had bad weather here this weekend but I wanted to go to a field trail that was over in St. Cloud. One of the guys I train with trains on sundays at the airport in Brainerd I am thinking about going over there this winter a few time just to see what it is like. I would love to get invovled in this but we will see gas prices and road conditions play alot into me doing this. Last edited by General V; 12-17-2012 at 11:49 PM. |

| Tango's dad Stoney just started running them. It seems really hard! Lush carried her very first duck last Thursday. It had been frozen, then thawed. Something genetic seemed to switch on in her head, and she was very intense about it. Safe to say though, field trails are not in her future!

| I've run 3 quals with Fisher, got to the 3rd series in two of them. If he were younger I would pursue it seriously as he likes to go long and has good heat tolerance and endurance for a big dog. Not sure this is the game for Slater but will enter the qual at the GRCA national in Texas this year if his training is going well. One of these day's I'll have a competitive trial golden.....

| Yep. I enjoy the game, the competition, the people (well, most of them), ... but most of all, I love training my dogs to such a high degree. To see them learn the incredibly difficult concepts, to seem the grow from puppyhood to truly all-age competitors is rewarding beyond words. |
