Jacks did really nice jumps!!!! No shortcuts around the side<:
We did retrieves over 20" jumps and then I bumped it up a couple inches just for tosses back and forth.
We also did drops and signals, but the jumps were the main deal because he didn't skip a single one.
I'm going to take him to dog class on Weds (I skipped last week because I had no babysitter for the Birdkin).
Bertie was working his heart out trying to earn treats from me - while I was trying to focus on just working with his brother. He was sitting. And downing. And sitting. And giving me paw. And at one point he raced ahead of Jacks after the dumbbell like he was going to retrieve it. And gave me a "What the heck is this?!" look over his fat little shoulder.
He didn't retrieve it - I would have been AMAZED if he had. We still are working with cat toys with him.
He trained earlier today...
I did treat tosses and come practice, loose lead walking, and straight sits. I briefly did a little position change work (standing from a sit position and holding a steady for a couple seconds). And I also did a little "Wait" practice with me right in front of him.
AND - I had him doing position changes on command while I was eating. <- He and Jacks were working for the cheezits in my salad. Jacks was doing his situps and Bert was doing sits and downs and sits.
*** And something I'm holding my breath about after talking with Weds instructor, I think that there's a chance she may let us get started in obedience vs doing the puppy class thing! *bounces up and down*
