| I think so! I called my dogs into the kitchen(recall), to feed them their meat and bone balls tonight.

| Hmm... I have a tough quandry ahead. o_O No matter which way I tilt it, looks like Bertie's first classes (we get to skip puppy class!!!!) will be on Monday... the same time as Jacks' Monday classes. I'm toying with the idea of cancelling Jacks' Monday classes at least for this session, and hopefully the next round with Bertie will be on a different day of the week. I was optimistically thinking about just doing BOTH. There's a 15 minute drive between the two training facilities, and I could get everything done with Jacks and skip out early for Bertie's classes. But it really wouldn't work with Jacks unless I put him in a crate or left him in the car. I will still go to class on Wednesdays with Jack. Probably the only bad thing is that Jacks' Monday's class is closer to home. And earlier in the evening. <- Huge deal in winter. >.< The other alternative is doing Saturday classes with Bertie for right now. That will be more like puppy class and not taught by my Weds instructor. *waffles* |

| From what I gather after talking with my instructor, it's going to be more like Obedience 1 geared towards comp classes. So these will be dogs who already have been taught the basics. If I take the Saturday class, it's still focused on teaching the basics. <- With Jacks I worked around that by just doing my own thing. Ordinarily people complete the Saturday class and then bump up to the class I'm thinking about taking on Monday. |

| Is crating Jacks or leaving him in the car a problem? With two dogs training for competition I would imagine it's something that's going to have to be done at least occasionally.

| I think I would take the Monday classes, and then just skip out early on Bertie's class, since the class will probably be too long for him, since he is so young. That way both dogs will get what they need. I wouldn't have Jacks skip out on this session, because he is actively training for competition, and with it being winter, at home training will be harder to do outside. I would skip the Saturday class. It will probably be full of people asking about pet issues, and by not going in that class you will not have to sit through that, plus that will leave a spot open for someone else that wants to hear answers to them basic questions.

| Introduced the dumbbell to Nugget this morning, the bar had peanut butter on it . He had no problem taking it as long as the Peanut butter was on it . He did hold it for several seconds after the PBS was licked off , a good start. I hope I can get him to take and retrieve it without employing the ear pinch which works very well but ,ok going to try at least for awhile to get the job done the nice guy way. We also tried to do go outs but this is going to take a little bit as the idea of going to a target spot has not sunk in but he is only 7 1/2 mos. old he will get it with a little time and a bunch of repetitions.
