What is everyone up to this week?

I have some remedial work to do in addition to regular training

Faelan: building our scent articles back up and start proofing the Go-Outs
Towhee: Change of pace, about turns and downs at my side without curling. Continue to train open & utility.

Brady: Agility-u assignments, baby obedience and foundation work
Casey: Hiking and training as he wants

Wednesday Casey, Faelan, Towhee& I have agility
Monday, possible Tue & Thu Faelan and Brady board the field training bus
Tonight I have puppy works with Brady

Brady swims - he followed Faelan in the water today and was swimming like he's always done so according to my brother.

Faelan is 5 years old today - Happy Birthday Faelan

Brady starting to learn a bit of impulse control this morning I have other videos from the sessions today but they are not uploaded yet.

Going to training class on mon. Going to try off leash heeling and work on about turns and wide s on fiqure8. I'm hoping for good results on sits and downs which were great at home but we all know how that can change with a lot of distractions other than blowing leaves and squirrels.

Aww Brady is so adorable! Was that raw food? Sounds like you have a lot on your hands for training this week. We have to work on figure 8's, Get-in, and stays. She wouldn't stay in class, when she does it so well at home! grrrrrr

We do classes on Mondays and Weds... and I'm hoping to keep training jumps every day here at home. In fact, we will do jumps later today after Jacks wakes up a little (we went hiking/swimming this afternoon + bath so he's zonked out).

Always loved, never forgotten, all our previous boys -

Yes it is raw he has raw in the morning and Purina Pro Puppy Chow in the evening - he will transition to completely raw as he matures (TQDF beef, green tripe, organ meat with some veggies was this mornings meal)

Faelan working with a few distractions - a favored nephew working in the side yard, the gating falling (good boy - a year ago he would have startled not merely glanced the first time and gone a bit wide when coming up to it again) and the neighbors burning their trash. The ground is a bit soggy from the foot of snow we had last week but it is mostly melted so we have our yard back!

Filly had a great second day out in UKC today. Trial 1 Novice B she got a 199.5 for 2nd place, and a 99 for 1st in rally, then trial 2 Novice B she got a 197.5 for 3rd place, and a 100 for 1st in rally, for a rally HIT.

Saturday Flip got a 100 first place in rally but I didn't feel like he was putting forth the effort or focus he should have. NQ in utility. This morning we went and did some bumpers to get the excess energy out. Then we went in the building and did a lot of heeling with no food. I was much happier with how he worked today. Another 100 first place in rally, and a much nicer feeling run. Placed 4th in utility, and it was a big enough class for it to get us an OTCH point.

Since Flip is currently learning a lot of new behaviors, he's been getting lots of treats the last couple of weeks. I find with my dogs that while using lots of food gives me great training, it tends to weaken our ring time. I need to keep that in mind in the future.
