| Sounds like fun! I have been planning on checking them out. I also need a new Wubba.

| Nugget had a great week training at home on driveway this week and NEVER blew the 3-5minute sits and downs I'm very pleased because this has been an ongoing problem. He did start to go wide on the abouts and outside turn of figure 8 but this morning they were pretty good. Monday we will go to class with more distractions and see how it goes, and again try off leash heeling in a protected area . Overall I'm pleased with an almost 7 mos. old puppys performance. | The wubba is Zoe's favorite outside toy. She goes crazy for it and they seem pretty durable. We do informal retrieves with it. Do you think this is positive or not if we're thinking of doing formal obedience retrieves? It hasn't seemed to impair her willingness to work with a dumbbell. Sunrise, what was the decision about Towhee's trial? I envy you being able to contemplate whether she would break 195. Nuggetsdad, It's amazing what Nugget can do at less than 7 mos. I didn't know that a dog that age had the attention span to hold sits and downs for that long.

| I try to work training Nugget 5 - 6 times a week and do just a little each session or as far as one sliced thin hot dog goes . He is very food oriented thank goodness and I try to keep it fun. The sits and downs have been built up little by little each week going for a little more and yes I had set backs . Nugget is the fith dog I'm going to try to title . My GSD got a CD and was stolen out of my yard many years ago since then I fell in love with goldens and have been fortunate to have gotten a UD on my first one then aUDX and 95 otch points and finally got the OTCH on my third boy at 42 mos. Nugget is very easy as he catches on to what I want and he learned to watch plus loving treats sure don't hurt which he only gets when he does the desired action and when he does many times I yell jackpot and give him a handful of treats and quit for the day Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| Sunrise and Nuggetsdad, thanks for responding. It's helpful to see how those with more experience bring their dogs along.

| Filly's UKC debut day #1 turned out like this. Trial #1 Obedience Novice B 196.5 3rd place 2.5pts were from me(purposefully) giving her a tight leash. 0 pts lost on the offleash! Mission accomplished! Rally level 1 99 4th place Handler err=1pt Trial #2 Obedience Novice B 199 2nd place the 1 pt was from her touching me on her front, which I am fine with, because of how nicely she came in, and with a straight front It was a really nice feeling run.RO 1 99pts 3rd place Handler err=1pt This too was a really nice run, she heeled along happily. What I learned from today... When in a runoff in UKC make sure your dog is in a perfect sit in heel before you say ready, or you will lose the runoff without even taking a step. ![]() I need to learn the UKC rules! Hopefully tomorrow is another good day.
