| I am sorry about the passing of the teacher. I am sure Georgia will greatly help the kids. I prefer closed caskets as well. I would like to remember loved ones full of life, the way they used to be. I am so sorry. Is Georgia the one with the torn cruciate? If so, do you think she can handle it? My Toby was unable to walk when he tore his cruciate ligament.

| Georgia tore her ACL, and after talking to her vet if he thinks this is okay for her, he said that getting belly rubs and loving on people is a great idea for her. She sure misses going for runs with me. I have to put on my running shoes in the garage so that she doesnt know. yet she gives me the evil eye when I return. She knows :-( |

| When our special lady from the nursing home passed away last summer, I took Max to the funeral. The coffin was closed - I actually prefer open so I can say goodbye to the person and not the box, but I know a lot of people prefer closed - we went up and he sniffed, then settled til I went to my seat. As we walked down the aisle, so many hands reached out for him - one lady just buried her head in his fur and sobbed. The funeral director said he wished there was a dog at every funeral. I'm sure Georgia will be a great comfort to everyone there. |

| The visit went well, Georgia was well received by the staff of the funeral home and they asked if she could come more often. She visited with everyone and lightened the mood. She quietly sat with the Grandson of the deceased for quite a while and then just continued to lay around and people came up to rub her belly while talking about Ms Malfatti. I did bring our puppy along for socialization. At 16 weeks she has never had an accident at home, we walked her before and during the visit...and yet she sprung a leak right next to the casket. Ooooops! |
