I finally got Buddy's TDI packet in the mail. I mailed his stuff in back in Nov.

Now to just fill out more forms, watch the DVD, and then set up visits to get started!

It is not going to be easy but we can do it! If we don't do it this year there is always next year!

Great! Congratulations. Where are you planning to go? 50 visits - 100 hours is a lot...my visits usually last 1-1 1/2 hour, Tess is drained by then.

His first visit will be at nursing home tomorrow at 1:30pm. I plan to do it 1-2x/week if he enjoys it. If he doesn't we will just do something else. Buddy would love to be petted and fussed over all day

Buddy, Roxy, Cozy, and me all have ADHD. This is my way to relax. I get bored really easy so goals keep me busy and out of trouble

I also sit on 6 different councils at work so I typically work 40-50 hrs per week stuck in a hospital cut off from fresh air!

The furrbutts are my outlet. I am thinking about Fostering kittens/young cats again since I took a year off after rescuing Buddy to really focus on him!

I will still fight the tainted jerky treats!

One day I would love to open a rescue of my own "Zoey's Place" which would cage free and would only be for medically fragile and elderly furrbutts who deserve all the love and affection in the world in their final day to years of life. Zoey would then truly live on. But that dream is a lifetime away from now!

I plan to start a Doctoral in Nursing Practice degree hopefully in the fall of this year and come out as a Nurse Practioner.

Just got back from Buddy's 1st official therapy dog visit and he LOVED it!! The only thing he did not like was the place was very warm. He is definitely going back next week!

Congratulations!! Bentley has the same problem at the nursing home, he never stops panting but it doesn't deter him. I sweat the entire time too. I don't know what we'll do when hot weather gets here.

Glad it went well. I think they keep the nursing homes very warm because the older and ill people tend to get cold very easily. It's just part of the nursing home visit.
