Jinx attended her first UKC show as competitor in the licensed classes this weekend. She was able to pull off a one and done with some very nice competition.
She won her class every time, won best female three times, and best of winners twice. She finished up today by going best of breed over a special and taking Group One! The only down side, no photographer.
So proud of my little girl who just turned one on Halloween. Now we hope we can have some of this luck next weekend at the AKC Tucson specialty.

Congrats! I hope it goes well in the AKC, but try not to forget this feeling if it doesn't. The AkC can be somewhat discouraging. But I hope you do well and stick with it, because the rewards are fantastic when things come together.

I do really like the UKC shows. It is like having a day long pick nick with dog friends. We all hooked our canopies together and hung out all day. Sooo much fun. That's why I like the UKC shows so much, they are nice and laid back.

Our level of competition here is really getting competitive too which is very nice. A lot of our AKC folks are coming out and having a great time. This weekend we had an AKC Champion, a bitch who pointed from the 6-9 class and two Reserve Winners Bitch placers compete. We also had one of the largest entries at the show! I hope to see the level of competition continue to grow.

Now we are on to 10 AKC shows in two weekends. We have not done to badly in AKC so far, but nothing to really brag about either. I am just glad to get her out and practice while she is young.

You and Jinx rocked last weekend at the UKC shows. What a great team you make. It is always great to watch the two of you in the ring. So focused and such a natural free stacker. Yes, the competition was tough. An AM/INT'L/UKC CH, pointed and several other Goldens who have won RW awards in tough Arizona AKC competition. The dogs were great, but hanging with their owners over the weekend was equally as great. Gotta love those UKC shows
