| It has been a while since I posted anything about Mia and show results. Wow since Roseburg witch was the weekend before Thanksgiving. As some of you may have read my dear friend Lost 12 Labrador retrievers (including her boy Clark who was on his way to being her first AKC champion) in a kennel fire, the 22nd of November. So much has changed scene then. We took a brake from showing and have only gone to a couple of shows as we (my husband and myself) have spent allot of time helping them rebuild. It has been bitter sweet getting back on the road with out Clark. Anyway this past Weekend Mia took Breed in Alaska under Mrs. Patricia V. Trotter Nothing in group as she thought it was play time and jumped on the judge she is still such a puppy!! |

| Great job Mia! How sad about your friend losing 12 dogs. It will take her a long time for those wounds to begin healing.

| Wonderful to hear. I understand your friends pain with the kennel fire. I had a fire a year ago November. I lost all of my house, all but one cat, my four parrots, my litter of Phalenes (drop-eared Papillon) and several of my show dogs. It's been over a year and I just now have realized I was making excuses for not breeding anyone. I wasn't ready, losing that Phalene litter was so hard. Losing all but one of my Phalenes was so hard. Phalenes are difficult to breed, difficult in they often become Papillons. If she would like to talk to someone who's been there, pm me and I'll give you my phone number for her. |

| Well we made it home from the Pac rim Show. I have to say it was fun but disappointing at the same time. Mia Made the cut but did not place in the breed ring. The rest of the weekend went pretty much the same. We went on to do rally and Mom blew a station on Friday so we got an NQ whomp whomp whomp. Saturday and Sunday we did qualify yaa only one more to go. We took first place in beginner novice on Friday and Sunday and qualified on Saturday and came home with a new BN title. yaa now Mia has a title on the back end two. We are working really hard this year as this will be the last year in the ring for her. We want to have more fun and play in the field it is really had to keep nice coat and play in the field. hahaha Last edited by whiskey creek goldens; 04-02-2012 at 10:59 AM. |
