I just read a really fun book about SAR with a Golden Retriever: The Scent of the Missing by Susannah Charleson.
She describes both the training and the experience of SAR in a way that is really interesting to someone like me - not involved in SAR but fascinated by the work they do. And it helps that her chosen breed is GR (as an aside: I had no idea so many different breeds of dogs did search work - collies and huskies in addition to GSDs and labs)
Thought some of you might enjoy it.
