Update: Going into Rescue with MAGRR
UPDATE, Buck has been adopted.
Danny (Andy's Dad) and I are trying to help with this...
He has lived with 2 cats. He currently lives with a toy puppy that is allowed in the house because he is small and has short hair. He puts up with the puppy jumping all over him. He lives with 3 kids ages 9, 7, and 4. The youngest child is very active and Buck has been so patient with the rough play he puts up with. He is affectionate and gentle with people. He is nice to the cat and puppy. He is fine with my golden service dog who is a male about the same age when we are there. My daughter told me that her friends who have 3 goldens offered to keep him last summer while they went on vacation. But when they dropped him off, he got in a fight with their dogs. In all fairness to Buck, he was just put in a strange fenced yard with 3 strange dogs without a careful introduction in a neutral area. He also got in a fight with the neighbor's dog. But it is a dog just on the other side of the underground fence. But due to the history of 2 fights, I would think he needs an experienced foster who either doesn't have a dog or she knows how to introduce frightened dogs to strange dogs. If a rescue home already had a dog, he would need to meet to see how they got along.
He is not crate trained.
The photo was taken when my grandson had a severe injury to his hand. Buck was allowed inside to help Brooks get over the surgery. But afterwards, he was back outside. Buck needs a home where he is allowed inside with people and also for comfort in storms. He will be terribly frightened being removed from the only home he remembers and being taken to a strange place. He will need time to adjust as you know from working with rescues.
I can get his shot records.
Thank you for any help in advance.

Buck was found about 2+ years ago nearly starved to death on my daughter's farm which has no house on it. He was heartworm positive and appearred young. They took him to the vet and found He was not chipped. Vet rec just putting him on heartworm preventative saying it would slowly kill the worms. He was not treated for heartworms. They vetted him and tried to locate his family. When they couldn't find his owner, the kids wanted to keep him. My son in law put in an underground fence and would not let him inside. They are good to him, but they are gone most weekends, and he either gets boarded or stays home with someone coming to feed him. He has a nice garage with a heater and fan and doggy door, but he needs to be inside with the humans. He is noise phobic and has gotten lost twice when he ran through the fence on the Fourth of July and due to a storm. My guess is thats how he got lost to start in a storm or fireworks and ended up on their farm as a young dog.
I tried all along to get them to put him in rescue, but my grandson would not let them. He is able to understand now that Buck is so scared of storms that he needs to be in an inside home. He tore the door facing up last week trying to get inside during a storm. They asked me to take him, but I already had 2 goldens when we took in our 3rd which is a rescue. I have MS and can't care for another. She finally agreed to let him go into rescue. He has lived with 2 cats.
