Some of you may have read my thread about the amazing rescue of my puppy, Toby, from a den in the Missouri woods under the puppy thread. The foster mom, Julie Adams, that rescued him has just taken in several dogs that were pulled from a pound in Campbell MO that were going to be gassed the following day. There were 25 dogs, all breeds and ages in 5 runs. Julie has 5 or 6 of these dogs in foster care now-one of which is a mixed Golden that is pregnant, heartworm positive and has mange. Most of these dogs are sickly and will need extensive vet care. When these dogs are well enough, they will be sent to my Toby's rescue group, PAWS New England Rescue, for either adoption or foster care until they can be adopted. I am posting this information in case anyone would like to donate toward this sweet Golden mama's care or any of the other dogs. I can't say enough about PAWS New England Rescue or Julie Adams, the foster mom.
Here is the link for the "chip in" on Facebook. As you can see, some of these dogs are very skinny form their life in this pound. Thanks so much! Nancye
