| Lord knows I'm no expert but at this point I think I would make some bland rice and boiled chicken for her and let her eat that until her stools harden. Then very slowly introduce some kibble with the rice and chicken. I'm sure others with experience in this area will give you good advice.

| My crew is on Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish. I tried the one you mentioned as well as the Sweet Potato and Venison and they stuck their nose up at both of them. Have you tried finding any pumpkin to add to Izzy's food? (I know it's hard to find right now but my mom finally found some of the organic pumpkin at a Publix.) Also, have you tried mixing a small amount of canned food with the kibble? That has also worked for me w/ my picky eaters. |

| I suppose I could try one of the other Natural Balance foods. As far as adding chicken or rice, the vet told me that there is no need for the rice and Izzy cannot tolerate chicken. With so many allergies out there and so many dog foods, it is so difficult having to make all the decisions. |

| I must have missed it but did they say what was causing the diarrhea? Is that getting better on the meds now? I would take that food back and try a new flavor of that food to see if that helps. Four days of not eating anything is not normal and to me would make me think something else is wrong. Hopefully a new flavor will perk her appetite up.

| Today is the first day that she isn't eating the food. The vet has her on a 14 day course of Flagyl which seems to be helping. They don't know why she is getting diarrhea and have tested her poop many times which keeps coming back negative so they are treating her for Giardia regardless of the test results. I brought her back to the vet today and she told me to try switching to a different flavor within the Natural Balance line. |
