Dory has surgery on Tuesday

Dory is scheduled to be spayed Tuesday. I'm ridiculously worried. It's being done at our vet, all precautions will be taken... but I'm still worried sick.

Please keep our sweet girl in your thoughts on Tuesday.

Thanks! Do they shave them for a spay? Hoping we can keep her quiet afterwards. She's pretty laid back, but loves to sleep on beds & couches and not sure she's going to be able to do that with the incision.

Yes, her belly will be shaved, and probably an arm or leg for a catheter (been there, done that, I know!). Do you have stairs or a ramp you could set up for her to get onto sofa? Beds likely too high. Of course she might just ignore the set up if she's used to jumping up (a no no!)

We can get one! Yes, she jumps right up and all of our beds are high. So will have to make sure she doesn't do that. I'll ask if I should get her a sedative along with the pain pills. I don't really remember what to expect anymore since I've forgotten since Bayleigh was spayed!

Bummer about shaving. Her coat is so fluffy and pretty! But she will get fluids throughout so assuming you're right!

Luna was spayed end of February. As I told the vet at her post op check up last week, she got the memo about taking it easy afterwards, but she doesn't know how to read!
