Smile Question about our new 7 week old golden pup :)

Hey guys!
My fiancÚ and I picked up our beautiful little golden girl today, 7 week old Charlie!
I have to say thanks to everyone on this forum because over the past several weeks I've been reading through everyyyything in preparation for her arrival

She is doing really well so far she's a little angel and we are totally in love. We had a question about her hips though and I've found a few threads on here sort of related to our query but thought I'd ask you guys anyway is it abnormal for her hips to look a little wide? She seems a little thin so we are wondering if that's it? Or could this be an indicator, even at such a young age, of HD? We are taking her to a vet asap, of course thanks so much for your help!!

(I've attached pics of her cute lil bod so you can see her hips, and also one of her so you get to see her cute lil pupper face!)

Couldn't add photos but I uploaded them here- (it's a real album not a virus or anything!! I don't know why it wouldn't let me add them here! )

I think it's normal. They kind of have wide butts at that age. You can't tell HD at this age.

She looks very skinny to me. It's hard to see under all that puppy fluff, but I think what you're seeing isn't wide hips but a skinny pup.

Super cute though. Congrats on your new family member.

It is hard to tell anything from the photos. Regardless of who you buy from, always get your new puppy into the vet right after you get them. If there are health issues most contracts and some state laws give you a window of time to ensure the puppy is healthy.

If you are not sure of the health testing behind your little Charlie, I would recommend getting insurance. Make sure you get one that covers hip and elbow Dysplasia immediately as some have a year wait built in.

She is a cutie. Take lots of pictures, they don't stay little for long.

I agree, she looks underweight. You wouldn't likely see visible signs of a hip issue at this stage.

Yeah she looks thin. Most puppies at that age look like fluff balls. Most you can't see the indenture like that in their backend until they are like 4 to 6 months when they go through that lanky stage.
