We took a mini vacay this weekend and so glad I decided to bring her along. She was faced with a few new challenges, 4 hr drive... hotel with room on 2nd floor... elevators... stairs... lots of people & noises... the big bad cart the clean crew used... swimming pool... being quiet when people arrive at midnight... 2000 screaming little girls... and babies. She was a very busy girl!
The automatic doors at the hotel lobby startled her but walked thru without hesitation. Stairs, well she looked sort of like a slinky on the 1st attempt but took the challenge. After that she approached it like an agility course and gratefully waited for me at the landing. She approached the pool then quickly moved on to all the other new smells. She came with me to the cheerleading competition at the convention center, faced approx. 2000 screaming girls like a pro then laid quietly at my feet during several hours of screaming. Had a chance to have lunch with my great grand daughters (age 2 & 4), sat quietly (excited) while they hugged then laid quietly under the table while they ate. She has never been crated but couldn't join us for the family dinner outing so had to stay alone (for the 1st time) in a fold down cloth crate in the hotel. Whined a little then quietly went to sleep. She met strangers in the hotel lobby and contained her excitement and never jumped on anyone. She learned that king size beds are awesome! I can't wait to plan the next trip. She is clearly the best pup ever! Forgive the gushing, just really impressed with her ability to handle new situations so well at such a young age.
