Hi all,
I have a 12 week old boy Max. He is in great shape so far and i have no regrets except he broke his molar yesterday (will start a new discussion on that later). here are some pics and want to know a few things.
Currently hes on acana dog food that he absolutely loves. He gets 3 3/4 cups a day. plus the other veggies i.e celerie sticks, apple (little), banana etc in rotation
any suggestions on switching to 2 meals a day now or should i wait for another month?
He is cute. As far as the three meals is someone always there or does someone come home for lunch. Chloe is 1.5. She still gets three meals. She likes her lunch. But we don't give her anymore then she would get if we fed her twice. If your home and he likes three meals just divide it in three. I don't think it is a big deal if your not over feeding.
thats a good point. theres someone home most of the time. so feeding isnt a problem but eventually there might not be someone all day but i guess at that point i can just switch to 2 meals a day
There are days when we are busy and she doesn't get it. But most days when we get our lunch she starts doing her food dance and staring at us for her lunch. If for some reason on certain days you don't give the lunch that's all right too. I think when people hear your feeding 3 meals they think your over feeding. Well that isn't the case. We just divide same amount into three instead of two.
No idea if/when they should switch to 2 meals a day. Our pup is 12 weeks as well(you should join the march forum)- and we're feeding her 3 times a day still!
Penny is 15 weeks and she eats perhaps 2 cups a day + treats (depending on how much food I throw out at each meal). I've started working lunch out of the plan. It's summer and the kids are out of school so our schedule is pretty variable. At this point I'm just feeding her lunch if she asks for it. She is eating lunch probably around 1/2 the time.
He is jaw dropping, what a good looking boy. I was honestly told 2 times a day after around 10 weeks would be ideal but after reading the responses I can see where it wouldn't matter.
thanks. ya i hope he doesnt suffer through the pain. or who knows the vet might not even suggest an extraction. ill know by Wednesday, so fingers crossed until then.
Seamus is 14 months. Just starting to calm down......
