My 10 month old randomly threw up today. She had been her crate all morning til I got home from work at 1230. We went out to potty (I take her on a leash so I know she didn't get into anything) and then she chewed a new bully stick for maybe 5 minutes. Probably about 30 mins later she went in my room to lay down, so I went and laid down too. 5 mins after that she threw up all over the floor. She didn't choke or heave or anything, it just came up. Then she slept for 3 hours. I assume it's from the new bully stick? She's never gotten sick from them though (other than diarrhea from 1 of a certain brand at petco) Shes had 4 out of same pack and they didn't make her sick. Could it be something else? Since then she's had a normal bm and has had water. I've been leary to feed her just yet.
I can't say for sure that it was the bully stick but 2 of my 3 dogs have vomited after having them. It happened with both dogs within 2 hours of the dogs being given the sticks. I decided not to give them to my dogs again.
She has thrown up again twice since my original post and both of those times she had not had any bones. Vet said to bring in a stool sample to rule out worms, it came back negative. The last time it was more bile, not the contents of her stomach (sorry I know its gross!). Vet didnt seem too worried he just told me watch her. I dont know what it could possibly be.
No we don't have any flowers or mulch. I know she hasn't gotten into anything outside because she is on a leash when she goes out. No vomiting today so I'll just keep watching her!
