Tucker was that big too. I thought I had a moose. But his growth tapered off. He's now 25" at the shoulder, and weighs 75 lbs. my vet said that genetics trumps all.

Really cute puppy! And I bet you think twice about picking him up now!

Tuco at 11 weeks was 23 his dad was about 100 lbs so maybe not but hey have a lot of spurts tuco didn't grow at all two weeks ago but this last week he gained 3 lbs

Fannin was 22lbs at 10 weeks. He's is almost a year (1/31) and now weighs 82lbs. Vet still thinks between 90 and 100 when he is done growing.

I am amazed at all these oversized dogs.... when did bigger is better trump the standard.... I don't understand the competition to have the biggest golden... shoot my emmett was 82 lbs and i near had a fit.... he went on a diet immediately

I didn't mean to sound like bigger is better. I was just saying how big he was for the OP. I'm constantly asking the vet if he is too big and until he says Fannin is overweight I'm not going to freak out.

I think we are on the road to standard size. 13.5 weeks @ 15 lbs 10 oz. I figure he will be around his parent's size when all is said and done. We are in no rush to increase weight. He's been fed, given treats and gets exercise.

To the OP, your boy is soo cute. But, it is up to you not to let him get up to 130 pounds.
I don't think any Golden should weight 100 or even 130 pounds.
My Toby is a broad boy, big head, he weighs about 83 pounds and I can still feel his ribs. He is well within the height standard for a golden. But he is not allowed to get any heavier than he is now, in fact, I am trying to get him down a few pounds because of his arthritis.

FWIW, Hank weighed 20 lbs. at 10 weeks, he finished out at 68 lbs.
