I've been lurking here for about a year, and we finally got ourselves into a housing situation where we could have a dog! It's pretty perfect, actually. My in-laws have been thinking about moving in the near-ish future, but they're not ready quite yet. They found a piece of property they really liked, and it has an old house already on it. They will tear down the existing house when they've sold their current house and are ready to build a new one.

For the meantime, though, we get to live in the old house! It's great because the yard is nice and big, and it doesn't matter if the puppy ruins the carpet or chews the door frames. Obviously, we're training him not to do these things because someday it will matter when we have a nice house, but it's nice to be not so stressed about it all the time.

Welcome to the forum!!! Love the photos, Rodney is just precious. So glad to see that you all are in puppy class, it's the best investment of time and money you can make. (Well, along with pet insurance if he's into chewing )

This is definitely a great forum, terrific people and I've learned so much here. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. And it is nice, there is usually someone here 24/7. Always helpful in a pinch
