So Sunday (night) was Gotcha Day for me!!! I got my boy - Keisel !!! I've been super busy with this puppy that I have yet to even have time for myself.

It's been two days that he's been such a joy and handful! He has a hard time being left alone. The first night wasn't too bad, he cried but I had him in my room and I put my hand in front of the cage and it seemed to calm him down. Had to go out once at 1 am and then at 6am. Last night he slept through the whole night and didn't cry once! I was so proud and I hope this is how it will be from now on!

I'm having problems with him being left alone when I'm still in the house or I have to leave to get a few things at the store (put a go pro camera in front of his cage and watched it when we got back). He will cry and cry and cry. I don't know if I should address it or just ignore it. It's so hard to ignore - it sounds like he's dying and it kills me! :-( I put him in his ex-pen when I'm here when I have to do work or cook and I can't watch him closely enough.

Anyways, I'm sure I'll have more stories of Keisel but so far he knows 'go potty' and loves to play with his toys. His first bath wasn't so exciting and I hope next time he enjoys it more so he won't be scared. Any advice/comments always welcomed! :-) Enjoy the pictures of Keisel!!!

He is extremely handsome congrats , I would just let him cry at nite he will get over it this is all new to him and you only have had him a couple days .

Congratulations on your new pup! He looks amazingly cute! Great shot of the gotcha day with that big smile...looks like he was ready to go home!

A note of caution that small bucket in his kennel with him could be a hazard should he manage to get his head through the wire handle and it's amazing what they can get their heads stuck in.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
